A Letter from Troy & Gayl
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about us. We are so excited to experience parenthood for the first time! We are delighted to share our love of the outdoors, animals and family with a little one of any race or gender! After experiencing infertility, we are excited about God’s plan for us to complete our family through adoption.
We are a loving, fun, financially stable couple who has been married over 19 years. We can’t wait to have a child to share in all the things we love… We enjoy bike riding, listening to music, playing games, taking long walks, playing with our dog, and tending to our garden where we grow our own vegetables. Another thing we want to share with our child, is evening meals with the family. We both grew up knowing how important it is to share your day with your loved ones and can’t wait to pass this tradition on. Through the years we have experienced much love, laughter and even loss, all which have brought us closer together.
Gayl loves children and animals and is looking forward to becoming a stay-at-home mom. Gayl has been preparing her whole life for motherhood. She has such a nurturing heart and is always taking care of everyone around her. She loves to be outdoors, mowing, working around the house, playing with our dog and gardening. She can’t wait to teach our child how to grow their own food! It fills my heart to watch her playing and running around outside with our little nieces and gives me a glimpse of what she would be like as a mother. She loves to cook and I know she is looking forward to having a cooking buddy! She is always up for new things and makes life exciting.
I feel truly blessed to share my life with Troy. He’s kind, loving and supportive. Troy is a wonderful provider and one of the hardest working men I’ve ever met. He has a very sensitive side (and yet incredibly strong). He is my ‘rock’. Part of what I love about him is his endless energy — he is always on the move. He loves being outdoors riding bikes, fishing and golfing. He can’t wait to share outdoor adventures with our child! He’s always up for cheering on the Colts and watching Indiana basketball. I know he’s so excited to have a little one that he can share his love of sports with! He will make an incredible Dad.
We were both born and raised in Indiana, where we enjoy all four seasons. We live in beautiful farm country, surrounded by charming lakes, and just a car ride away from hiking and skiing in the Indiana hills. We live in a three-bedroom home with a large yard and big trees. There is plenty of room to run, play and explore nature. Country living is for us, but we also enjoy experiencing the culture, wonderful restaurants, many parks and one of the nation’s top ten zoos which are all only 10 minutes away from us in one of the biggest cities in our state.
Family is very important to us. We adore our nieces and nephew and talk to our parents every day. Gayl’s mom is excited to become a grandma again and Troy’s mom is looking forward to becoming a first-time grandma. We cherish the time we spend hanging out, watching movies, cooking s’mores over the campfire and everyone is always up for a good game of kickball! We both come from loving Christian homes that have been incredibly supportive of our adoption journey. They are all so excited to welcome your child into the family!
We promise your child will be raised in a happy Christian home filled with unconditional love! Education is important to us and we promise to provide your child with every opportunity to achieve their fullest potential and follow their dreams. We promise your child’s life will be filled with love, laughter, unwavering support and plenty of hugs and kisses. We promise to raise your child to be a caring, humble and, most importantly, kind person.
We promise to share their adoption story with them so they know how special and loved they are. We are open to letters, calls, and visits.

More About Our Family
We enjoy traveling and are excited to take family vacations with a little one. We look forward to showing our child all the beauty and excitement this country has to offer.
We were both raised in solid Christian homes. Our faith is very important to us. Our child will be raised knowing our love and God’s love. We are very fortunate to live within a mile of our country church, which means our church families are also our neighbors.
Music that makes us move
Thank goodness for Alexa! There’s nothing better than saying what song you want and then having it play! Whether we are outside working in the yard, inside cooking, or just playing games, we always have music playing! We love all kinds of music, rock, country, pop… We’ve even been known to play a little techno while having a dance party with our little nieces. We may not be the best dancers but we always have fun!
Some of our family traditions
We have many family traditions, including a candle light Christmas Eve service, fireworks on the Fourth-of-July, sharing what we’re thankful for on Thanksgiving and ringing in the New Year together. We also have a huge 3-day family reunion every year, people come from all over to enjoy the great food and live music.
