A Letter from Justin & Kelli
Thank you for considering us for your child. We are an outgoing and compassionate couple excited to start our family as first-time parents through adoption. Our home is rooted in the Christian faith and we will raise our family with a love for Jesus and one another. We enjoy staying active outdoors, hosting family and friends into our home, and serving orphaned children living in remote areas of Asia. We are excited to get to know you and share our love for adventure and compassion with your child.
We met online in 2011 and have been together ever since! In our spare time, we enjoy relaxing at the lake, hosting dinner or game night with family and friends, giving back to our local community, and helping bring hope to orphaned children in Thailand. We are blessed with a generous and caring network of friends who have become family to us – in full support of our pursuit to expand our family through adoption. Together, we enjoy eating dinner at home, relaxing, maintaining a healthy routine, being outdoors, getting together with family and friends, and occasionally traveling.
Justin is the most compassionate, caring, humble and hard-working man I have ever met. He absolutely loves children! He is the first to hold a newborn baby or get down at a toddler’s level to interact during family events. He is a strong provider and protector for our family, providing a stable and safe environment using his education, training, and background in criminal justice and law enforcement. Justin loves to clean and make sure our financial priorities are in check. He is social, open-minded and accepting of others. With his role in law enforcement, he is respected in our community – recognized as dependable, loyal and an advocate for the well-being of others. For fun, he enjoys playing golf, volunteering, and relaxing at the lake. I know he will be an amazing father and is excited to share his love for nature with our child!
Kelli is caring and passionate, prioritizing her family and friends first. She is warm, easy-going, humble, and hard-working. She understands that success takes perseverance and effort. Kelli works from home, is accomplished in her career and loves her employees. Kelli enjoys data, traveling, and exploring new cultures. She takes particular interest in seeing God’s breathtaking wonders and beautiful landscapes. In her free time, Kelli teaches first and second graders about Jesus, gardens, attends cycling classes, cooks, bakes, and cuddles with our cat, Gracie. Kelli gives much of herself to her family and our non-profit. I know she will be a wonderful mom and that she is excited to share her passions with our child.
We live in rural Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes! Our home is a humble, yet modern, rambler in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. It has a spacious family room, kitchen, a deck for grilling, three-season porch, and a large private backyard with a garden and mature trees – ideal to safely play games, run around, and enjoying the outdoors. We live near an elementary school, many walking trails and parks, and recreational lakes. Our local community and neighborhood are safe and well-maintained.
In early 2018, a mission trip to Thailand broke our hearts for orphaned children in need of Jesus, love, and finances for basic necessities and continued education. Through much prayer, we began a non-profit in 2019 to provide financial and spiritual support through our church and community. We will raise our child in a household full of God’s love for others – regardless of their ethnicity, social status, or circumstance. We are excited to share our curiosity for new perspectives and the privilege to serve others with your child.
We promise to provide a safe, relaxed, and joyful home filled with unconditional love and encouragement. We will demonstrate the importance of family, friends, and Jesus for a fulfilling and balanced life. We promise to give your child every opportunity to achieve their goals and follow their God-given ambitions. We promise to provide a healthy childhood routine while instilling the values of honesty, respect, gratitude, responsibility, and integrity. We promise to tell them their adoption story so they grow up knowing our love as well as your love too. We promise to maintain contact with you through letters, pictures, videos, phone calls, and visits.

|More About Our Family|
|Our Special Interests|
We have a particular interest and heart for orphaned children, working together on our non-profit to help provide the hope of Jesus to children in poverty circumstances. We also have a mutual passion for travel and enjoy seeing and experiencing different cultural perspectives. We love to explore and learn! We are a social couple who enjoy hosting family and friends into our home, creating new and different traditions such as Friendsgiving, holiday volunteer projects, and our winter grilled-pizza cookout! Both born and raised in Minnesota -- land of 10,000 lakes -- we love taking our boat to the lake on summer weekends and breaking out the fishing rods for ice fishing during the winter. Overall, we are interested in staying healthy, active, and learning new things! We are excited to include your child in these activities and traditions for years to come.
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and that God has called us to love Him and others by way of actions more than words. We are actively engaged in our church, serving in global missions and local compassion. We believe its not enough to know more people need love, but instead we believe we are called to do it. Our faith is the cornerstone and capstone for how we will raise your child and sustain a healthy marriage to support him/her.
Our favorite place to be is home! Our beautiful and cozy home is within city limits but offers much space and privacy on a ravine lot with large back yard and matured trees. We are blessed to have both young and older families surrounding us. In the summertime, we enjoy our screened porch and large patio overlooking the backyard - often with family or friends. Kelli has a large garden where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, and fresh herbs (just to name a few). Justin is the grill-master and also loves relaxing in the hammock in the back yard. During the winter, we look forward to building snow forts and sledding with your child. In the summer, we can't wait to get our wiggles out, play ball and hide-and-seek!
|We live in the state of...|
Minnesota! Minnesota winters are chilly but summers are green and warm; it's truly a beautiful place to live with four seasons. "Minnesota Nice" is a real thing and for good reason! Minnesota is known to turn just about anything into a "festival" and all kinds of foods into a casserole, "don'cha know?!"
|Our Neighborhood & Community||Our neighborhood is family-friendly and within ten minutes of the local elementary school, state university, children's museum, YMCA, restaurants, theaters, walking trails, parks, and only 30 minutes from various recreational lakes. Our community is one of the top 25 safest cities for families in the United States, known for its arts and cultural offerings - galleries, sculpture displays, and biking and hiking trails. Our community offers world-class healthcare through the Mayo Clinic health system, only fifteen minutes from our home.|
