A Letter from Chad & Heather

Thank you for taking the time to read about us! We are an outgoing couple that loves to attend sporting events, play cards, enjoy board games, and watch movies. We are thrilled to be on this adoption journey and see where it takes us. We are so excited to share our family with your child! We will love them unconditionally and teach them the morals and values we were taught. We look forward to getting to know you and discuss your hopes and dreams for the future. We are open to sharing letters, pictures, and visits.

About Us

We have been married for 6 wonderful years. We are blessed to have a strong marriage rooted in our faith. We met when Chad was singing karaoke and Heather was at a friend’s birthday party. Chad likes to say he won Heather over with his voice. Whether that is true or not, only God knows. 🙂 We love to be together, laughing, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors. Our family has recently grown through foster care. We have two sweet little boys, 4 and 5 years old, that we have adopted. Foster care has been an adventure we are excited and passionate about also.

We look forward to welcoming your child into our family and sharing every moment with them- big or little. We look forward to eating meals together, attending church, watching sporting events, and showing them the joy of the great outdoors! We strive to live out our Catholic values of honesty, generosity, and compassion. We look forward to sharing our community, passions, and interests with your child and helping them to grow up to be their best self.

About Chad (by Heather)

Chad has a contagious personality! When he first met my family, I knew we would be together forever. He has such a caring heart, constantly helping other people. Chad loves to dance and sing, especially when we go to family events which is often because we have big families. He is a wonderful father who constantly shows our boys how to be a loving, hardworking, and fun person. Our nieces and nephews are all so attached to him too because he is playful and goofy!

Chad is a hard-working man, which is a value that he learned from his parents while growing up on the farm. He learned the landscaping trade for 9 years and then opened his own company 5 years ago and has thrived in it. In his spare time, he is a handyman around our house and loves to work with his hands. I am amazed at all the work he does! He looks forward to sharing his interest in hunting, fishing, and sports with our children. Through Chad’s sense of humor, strong work ethic, and kind heart he is an amazing father.

About Heather (by Chad)

Heather is a great mom with her fun, loving, and caring personality. She is always offering to babysit for others because of the joy it brings her and the kids. She loves hosting BBQs with family and friends, which are always followed by everyone playing games! She enjoys watching and playing sports and going to movies. Heather likes to do crossword puzzles and play pickleball in her free time as well. She also loves to hang out at the lake or pool to swim. She looks forward to sharing her interests and zest for life with our children.

She is very passionate about her teaching career and her students. She embraces each and every one of them like they are her own. Seeing this kind of love for her students leaves no doubt that our children are showered in love and family values. She is excited to share her faith and love of teaching with our children as well!

Our Amazing Family

We feel so blessed to have our boys Franklin and Clayton. God knew they were a piece of our family we needed. They are so energetic, kind, and funny. We know they will both be great older brothers because when we foster other children, they love to help and fully embrace them! We are both blessed with large, loving families, with whom we spend lots of time with. We know how important family is and what it means to support and love each other. Our children are surrounded by many aunts and uncles who love them. We often attend Sunday family dinners at Heather’s parents’ house, which almost always ends in a card game. We get together with Chad’s family as often as we can, especially for holidays. We also play many card games and shuffleboard together. We love to play with our 3 nieces and 5 nephews, who are very excited to have more cousins. Our families see the joy children bring to us and are enjoying watching us become parents. They look forward to sharing their faith and including your child in our traditions, such as holiday meals and playing games.

Our Home in Nebraska

We bought our first home 5 years ago. We love spending time in our spacious ranch style house. There are three bedrooms upstairs and a large basement that is filled with toys that the boys love to play with. We also have a nice outdoor space for play and entertainment. We feel our city is the perfect size – attracting many fun events, yet small enough that we feel at home in a tight-knit, family-oriented community.

Our Promise

We promise to give your child all our love and support every day. We will provide a safe, stable and loving home for them. We promise to help them grow, cultivate their faith and excel. We will make sure they know their worth, dignity, and value as a child of God. We promise to teach them to live life to the fullest and achieve their goals. Your child will have a strong education and many opportunities. We will make sure your child knows how much they are loved by God, us, our family, and you. We are open to communicating with you through letters, pictures, and visits.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests

We love to play pickleball together and with our family members. We enjoy cards like Euchre and Pitch, and playing board games. We like to have tailgates for Nebraska Cornhusker football games where we play many yard games. We also like to go out to the gun range together and shoot clay targets. We enjoy time at the lake or on the beach. While going places is always fun, we relish our time at home together watching movies as well.

Our Faith

We strive to live out our Catholic faith by partaking in Mass often and praying together. We also try to treat each other and others with the respect and dignity they deserve. We believe God has led us to this point and are excited to see what he has in store for us.

Our Musical Interest

We really listen to all different genres, especially because Chad likes a variety. We both grew up with country music and it is still our favorite. There is often music playing in our house when we are around.

About Our Home

It has been quite the journey with our home! When we bought our house, it needed lots of updating. We ended up remodeling most of the inside with paint, flooring, and décor. We love the way things turned out! It has been so fun to see the transformation. We love to take walks around our neighborhood and have gotten to know lots of our neighbors. It is a friendly, family oriented area with schools and parks close by. We can't wait to grow our family here as we think it is the perfect place for us. Our home is filled with lots of memories, pictures, and décor that demonstrates our passions.
