Hey there! We are Lucas and Camie from Nebraska! We are a fun-loving couple who are always up for a new adventure, and are very excited to enter a new season of our lives: becoming parents! After years of experiencing infertility, we feel called to adoption, and we are thrilled! We would love to welcome a child of either gender, any race, as well as twins or siblings! We also look forward to building a relationship with you through photos, letters, and visits at your comfort level.
About Us
Our love story began when we met in college. We knew almost immediately that we were soulmates! We’ve been together for 6 years, and married 4 years!
When it comes to our family values, here are a few things we treasure deeply: our Christian faith, quality time spent with loved ones, a solid education, and taking every opportunity we can to travel!
Adventures we hope to take with your child:
-Snorkeling off the beaches in Hawaii
-Hiking through the mountains of Colorado
-Going to the Christmas markets in Germany
-Exploring all the rides at Disney World in Florida.
-Seeing the leaves change color during the fall in Vermont
About Lucas (by Camie):
Lucas is my dream come true. He is incredibly kind, wildly intelligent, very strong, and super handsome! He is a friend to everyone he meets, and people can’t help but smile when they’re around him! Lucas loves to do woodworking projects for the house and really enjoys being outdoors!
Lucas is a wonderful provider for our family through his career as a chemical engineer and he also volunteers as a firefighter for our community! He has a true servant’s heart and a zest for life! Lucas is a fantastic husband and will be an outstanding father to our children.
An activity Lucas is looking forward to doing with your child: Playing games in the backyard!
About Camie (by Lucas):
Camie is the answer to my prayers. She is fun and spontaneous, and challenges me daily to grow in my faith. She really enjoys staying active, reading the Bible, and going on walks together.
She runs an online business that she built from home specifically so she could be home with our future children. She is so excited to become a stay-at-home mom once we adopt.
Whenever I am around Camie, I feel safe and loved. Her love and compassion flow into all aspects of our life and she always knows how to help. All these aspects of Camie make her the beautiful wife she is, and will shine when she is a mother to our children.
An activity Camie is looking forward to doing with your child: Reading books together! This was a highlight in my childhood and I’m excited to carry on the tradition when we adopt!
Our Family
Both of our families are overjoyed to welcome the child we adopt! This will be the first grandchild on both sides and are sure to have lots of love and attention from their aunts, uncles, and grandparents!
Fun Fact: We are both the oldest children in our families!
Camie’s parents and 3 younger siblings all live within 30 minutes from us. We get together weekly for yummy food and cheering on our favorite football team (Go Huskers!).
Lucas’ parents and younger brother live 2.5 hours away (his brother even lives on the same street as his parents!). We enjoy visiting them as often as we can!
We know our future child will have SO much love to lean on, from both sides of our family.
Our Home in Nebraska
We live in a 3 bedroom home with a large front yard and a fenced-in backyard ready for summer cookouts, family soccer games, and snowman building fun! Our home is less than a mile away from our local schools, playgrounds, our town swimming pool, library, and walking trails. There are 2 larger cities less than 30 minutes from our town where there are a variety of fun food cuisine to explore, farmer’s markets, shopping malls, and more!
Our Promise to You
We promise to be there for the little moments and the big moments throughout your child’s life. We promise to show your child a life full of love and adventure, and to not sweat the small stuff (life is too short to sweat the small stuff!)
We promise to care for his or her needs above and beyond. We promise to cheer them on at every soccer game, theater performance, or any other activity they want to pursue. We promise to provide them with an exceptional education and to always be their biggest advocate.
We also promise to talk about you often and with the utmost respect and love. We promise to love your child unconditionally and to always keep them safe. And lastly, we promise to show your child the love of Jesus and model an authentic walk in faith.

| Our Dogs | We have two small, Shih-Tzu dogs, Memphis and Baker! They are super sweet and add so much joy to our home. Memphis and Baker are very gentle dogs who love to snuggle, and they're hypoallergenic, so almost zero shedding! We know they will love spending their days playing with your child! | |
